Kick Hunger Returns for 2024!

Savannah Clovers Announce the Return of “Kick Hunger!” for 2024

 

Savannah, Georgia (August, 19, 2024) The Savannah Clovers today announced the return of their in stadium, canned food drive for 2024. “Kick Hunger!” will take place at the September 4th Home Match against Michigan Stars FC. Kickoff is set for 6pm. Tickets Now Available! Clovers fans are encouraged to donate canned food and non perishable items to benefit Second Harvest of Coastal Georgia Food Bank. The 1st 200 fans to donate at the September 4th Match will receive a free #HelpEndHunger Bracelet. In addition to donations from Clovers fans, Kroger will be an Official Donation Partner for the midweek event. Last year, over 300 canned food items were donated by Clovers fans. 

 

“Second Harvest is thrilled to participate in this community partnership with the Savannah Clovers FC and Kroger.  In honor of Hunger Action Month, we will join forces on September 4th to Kick Hunger out of the stadium.  Mary Jane Crouch, Executive Director of Second Harvest explains “Hunger affects all ages and can strike at any time.  Through education, awareness, and partnerships within the community, we all can play a part to Help End Hunger in Coastal Georgia.”

About Savannah Clovers Football Club

Savannah Clovers Football Club: Founded on June 23, 2016 as a local amateur club. The team competed in the United Premier Soccer League for five seasons and participated in both the 2020 and 2021 editions of the NISA Independent Cup. The club’s mission is to bring the highest levels of soccer to the Hostess City, while engaging players, fans and local businesses to serve our community.  In 2022 Savannah Clovers received professional club status and gained membership into NISA (The National Independent Soccer Association). NISA is a sanctioned USSF 3rd Division League. Savannah Clovers FC are currently competing in their 2nd Professional Season in NISA.
