Savannah, Georgia – Savannah Clovers Football Club announced today the addition of Jef Thiffault to their ownership group. Thiffault has previously held roles at Major League Soccer’s League Office and as Managing Director of the National Premier Soccer League. He is currently the owner of New Jersey-based Contigo Sports Management. Thiffault joins existing owner, Club President Brian Sykes.
“It has become very clear to me through our conversations over the past few months, and from his time spent here, that Jef has a strong affinity for the City of Savannah and a desire to help Savannah Clovers Football Club grow into the soccer team that proudly represents our city” said Club President Brian Sykes. “We are fortunate to add someone with Jef’s expertise in the game to help us reach our goals. He brings a unique combination of experience working with some of the biggest teams in world soccer and burgeoning soccer clubs across the country. His sports business acumen and network of domestic and international contacts will undoubtedly help us elevate our Club and amplify the world’s game in Savannah, Georgia.”

Savannah Clovers is in the process of reviewing all aspects of its operations and determining an affiliation and schedule for the 2020 Season.
ABOUT SAVANNAH CLOVERS FC: Derived from First City Supporters, Savannah Clovers Football Club was founded in June of 2016 as an amateur men’s soccer club with the goal to engage players, fans and local businesses in an effort to give back to the community. The Club competed in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) in the 2018-2019 seasons, playing its most recent season at Memorial Field.
